National Scholarships

National scholarships are announced in the Daily Bulletin and posted on the school website on a weekly basis.  There are also many scholarship search engines available online and most colleges and universities have separate scholarship applications.  Beware of scholarship scams!  See your counselor if you have any questions about a questionable scholarship opportunity.

Local Scholarships

Thousands of dollars from local clubs, community organizations, and private donors are given each year to THS seniors.  Interested students need to complete an online scholarship application in January (information is mailed home).  Scholarship recipients and their parents/guests are honored at Senior Awards Night in May in the Bulldog Arena.  Many eligible students neglect to apply every year!  Are you interested in being a scholarship sponsor?  Contact Kristin Bettencourt at (209) 667-0888 for more information.

The core purpose of Youth on Course is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. This is done by providing golf for $5 or less at hundreds of courses, offering meaningful employment through their internship program and Caddie Academy and providing access to college scholarships. This year, 20+ scholarships will be awarded, ranging from $4,000 to $20,000 to be distributed over 4 years.

To be considered for a scholarship:

  • You must be a high school senior, enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited Northern California high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Scholarships are both need and merit based.
  • You must be accepted for enrollment at a four-year college/university the same year the scholarship is awarded.
  • You do not need to be a member of Youth on Course, but Youth on Course members and/or golfers will be given first priority during selection. You can join today at
